Puff Update by Melissa

I’ve had a couple readers ask me what happened to Puff. For her story, click here. We took the officer’s advice and pretended that Puff was dead. She assumed a new identity as Sara in a great home in Sylvan Park, Nashville, which is how we arrived at the name Sweet Sara Puff I. Puff stayed with us for about a week before we found someone that could adopt her under the radar. During that week, I had every one of my boys at the “Monty” on standby for Bobby Dickhead. There was NO WAY I was going to let Bobby take Puff back. But he never showed up. He never gave a shit about that dog. In retrospect, I probably did him a favor. Puff has since passed on. That was thirteen years ago, and large purebreds normally don’t live that long. What I didn’t explain in the post was that Puff had a sister. My buddy Pete rescued her. He named her Sophia. Sophia visited the Farnival a year before she died.

P.S. I traveled with the NHRA Drag racing tour for over a decade, and several have asked if Bobby Dickhead was a drag racer. Absolutely not. Drag racers are too cool for that kind of cruelty. My interaction with Bobby Dickhead was purely coincidence, not a product of my involvement in the racing community.
